![]() Some people season their pork chops liberally with salt, black pepper, and paprika, then rub the mixture liberally on both sides. How To Make Oven Baked Bone-In Pork Chopsīone-in pork chops can be prepared in a variety of ways. ![]() ![]() However, there are a lot of additional ingredients that I haven’t tried yet, so when I do a little research on the internet, I come up with a list of what you should use to season the pork chops. When it comes to pork chops I always use this ingredient for seasoning: Oven-Baked Bone-In Pork Chops What’s The Best seasoning to use for pork chops? What ingredients do I need to make baked bone-in pork chops? I usually emphasize the importance of thermoùetr in your life. Whether you’re cooking bone-in or boneless pork chops, grilling or baking them, sautéing, roasting, broiling, or pan-frying them, the rule for pork chops is to cook them to an internal temperature of 145°, thus a thermometer is required. What temperature should bone-in pork chops be cooked at? With the bone-in pork chops, the best temperature is 145 degrees F with a three-minute rest, which takes about 20 to 25 minutes at 400 degrees. We’ll use bone-in pork chops in today’s recipe, which are usually more flavorful and juicy than boneless pork chops. Delicious pork chops with only 4 simple ingredients When I have frozen pork chops, I just thaw them in the refrigerator before going to work and then cook them when I get home. I like that you don’t have to clean the pan of oil, and that’s what I like about it. You don’t need to fire up the grill and muck around with a pan with this type of preparation. I prefer oven-baked pork chops because they’re very quick to make and require very little prep and cleaning, and because they cook in the oven, you can focus on other things while they’re cooking, which is what I always do when I’m cooking and writing a post. I persuaded myself that I should share these recipes with my readers because they are delectable, well-executed, and simple to prepare. That’s when I decided to create a food blog. I enjoy cooking, but that doesn’t mean I enjoy spending lengthy periods of time in the kitchen those who have tried it know how difficult it is to spend hours in the kitchen trying to figure out how to prepare something. Pork chops that are juicy and tender, seasoned with a four-ingredient dry rub, and then quickly cooked to perfection in the oven.īefore I get into the pork chops recipes, I just want to remind you that if you have any questions, please leave a comment and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible. T his is ideal for folks who are on the go and don’t want to spend too much time in the kitchen.

Poly says it's working to improve noise reduction for cell-phone calls with a firmware update later this year. ![]() While they worked well for making cell-phone calls indoors and outdoors in quieter environments, callers said they could hear a good amount of background noise when I was making calls in noisier environments. I was able to easily switch between using the buds with my computer (with the USB dongle) and my iPhone. Battery life is rated at up to 5.5 hours with noise canceling on. They support the AAC and AptX audio codecs as well as LC3 when making video calls, Poly says. Equipped with 10mm drivers, they might not offer quite as good sound quality for music as other premium earbuds in this price range, but there's good depth and punch to the bass, decent clarity and they have a pleasant sound profile overall. I also liked how you can store the USB-A Bluetooth dongle in the charging case when you're not using it with your computer.Īside from the tricked out case, the bigl strengths of the Poly Voyager Free 60 are their comfortable fit, excellent voice-calling performance for video calls (they have 3-mic array in each bud), solid noice canceling and very good sound quality. Additionally, the Free 60 Plus UC case also turns into a Bluetooth transceiver for inflight entertainment systems (you plug the case into the 3.5mm headphone port). The display isn't quite as fancy as the one on the JBL case (it's mostly monochrome), but these are among the first earbuds to have a case with a mini control panel integrated into it. Like JBL's Tour Pro 2 earbuds, the Poly Voyager Free 60 Plus UC earbuds also have a touchscreen display embedded in their charging case. Read our full review of the QuietComfort 45. They're similar to the Bose Headphones 700 in that regard and also feature top-notch noise canceling, as well as multipoint Bluetooth pairing so you can connect them with a PC and your phone simultaneously. The end result is these are excellent for making calls. (The Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 also have six microphones total.) By contrast, the QC35 II has a total of four, two of which are used for voice. Not only have the mics been shifted on the headphones, but there's now an extra external microphone for voice pick-up, which means the QC45 has a total of six microphones, four of which are beamforming and used for voice. Secondly, the microphone configuration is different. First off, these thankfully have USB-C instead of micro-USB. However, there are small but notable changes. (And, if comfort doesn't make them the best headphones for working, what would?) It has the same drivers, according to Bose, and the buttons are in the same place. The QuietComfort 45 has virtually the same design as its predecessor, the QuietComfort QC35 II, which many people considered one of the most comfortable over-ear headphones - if not the most comfortable. Good bonus features include strong battery life and multipoint Bluetooth pairing, allowing you to switch between two devices. Being able to hear your own voice in the headphones as you talk means that good noise reduction is vital so you don't end up shouting. They should also feature excellent communication features for making video chats or voice calls. When working, your headphones should offer high-quality sound and comfort, as you'll be wearing them for hours on end. Noise-canceling is an important feature but the very best headsets for working from home will have a built-in microphone as well so you can use them during meetings and business calls. ![]() When your home has lots of distractions, headphones can help you focus on what needs to get done and allows you to tune out the chaos. Philippe de Vitry's treatise Ars nova (1320) described a system in which the ratios of different note values could be 2:1 or 3:1, with a system of mensural time signatures to distinguish between them. In the 13th century, chant was sometimes performed according to rhythmic modes, roughly equivalent to meters however, the note shapes still did not indicate duration in the same way as modern note values.Īround 1250, Franco of Cologne invented different symbols for different durations, although the relation between different note values could vary three was the most common ratio. The double dot was first used in 1752 by J. The rare three dots make it one and seven eighths the duration, and so on. A number of dots ( n) lengthen the note value by 2 n − 1 / 2 n its value, so two dots add two lower note values, making a total of one and three quarters times its original duration. ![]() I think we all already understand a lot more about music’s fundamentals than we might think. It was a surprise to realise I had intuitively improvised with it in polyphony while asleep. ![]() It was distinctly microtonal – I have some familiarity with microtones through studying Hindustani sruti and listening to North African music, but am certainly no expert and would struggle to compose microtonal music while awake. The restlessly floating music sounded a little like this, but with a slower ebb and flow. In sound and appearance it was somewhere between an Indian santoor and a Malian kora, but mounted on the wall with long strings facing vertically. One striking example involved walking into an unfamiliar room decorated with ornamental Arabesque writing, and seeing a veiled woman facing the far wall with her back to me, playing some imagined harp-like instrument. The complexity and quality of the harmony often far outstrips what I can manage while awake – I’ve dreamed a quartet of jazz horns playing melodies with suspended chord counterpoint, and ghostly piano-like instruments modulating through extensions far beyond what my (pretty average) waking harmonic ear is familiar with. I can guide the direction of the music to some degree, although the orchestration of all lines apart from the main melody seems to just happen, without any meaningful conscious intention. This phenomenon isn’t uncommon among musicians or non-musicians, but does raise some very interesting questions around how our dreaming minds model frequency interactions – the emergent properties that give all chords their colour and tension. Typically I’ll come across an unknown character who will be playing new music – there may be familiar fragments of melody, but the overall compositions seem unique. Recently I’ve had several dreams which involve largely automatic musical composition. “Every act of perception, is to some degree an act of creation” ![]() Play with a relaxing pace and a soothing soundtrack.Collect a firefly for a letter hint, or click on the Hint button to reveal the item.Fill in the blank to pop culture references, figure out proverbs, and more.Search for clues and find the answers in more than 50 challenging levels.Enjoy a blend of Hidden Object and Crossword Puzzles in this fantastic challenge.Try the free trial version or downloading the full-unlimited version of Hidden Object Crosswords today! Based on limited data, the AHA CPR Guidelines 2020 reviewers conclude that rates of survival to hospital discharge and survival with good neurologic outcome are similar between pediatric patients treated with BVM ventilation and those treated with endotracheal tube ventilation. They also could not recommend one type of advanced airway device as clearly superior to another device. At that time, the AHA stated the strength and quality of the evidence prohibited a recommendation for or against the use of an advanced airway during the pediatric resuscitation attempt. Last year, the AHA addressed whether EMS providers should provide bag-mask ventilation with or without an advanced airway. One recommendation specifically addressed to prehospital care involves the decision to use an advanced airway during pediatric resuscitation. Limited data also supported the AHA CPR Guidelines 2020 reaffirmation of the moderate-strength recommendation for compression rates of 100-120 compressions per minute.Īdvanced airway management. The AHA makes a moderate-strength recommendation for chest compressions depths of one-third the anterior-posterior diameter of the chest for infants and children, based on limited data. Changes to the algorithm now depict epinephrine administration as appropriate after the second defibrillation attempt for shock refractory rhythms. The AHA CPR Guidelines 2020 reaffirm that position as a weak recommendation based on limited data. The 2019 AHA focused update recommended epinephrine administration for shockable rhythms after initial defibrillation attempts have failed. The AHA Guidelines 2015 made no recommendation on when resuscitation teams should administer epinephrine to patients with shockable rhythms. The AHA CPR Guidelines 2020 now strengthen that recommendation with moderate quality evidence based on limited data. With respect to timing, the AHA Guidelines 2015 made a weak recommendation that resuscitation teams consider giving epinephrine as soon as feasible when the patient presents with a non-shockable rhythm. The AHA CPR Guidelines 2020 strongly reaffirm that position, based on moderate quality evidence. Last year, a focused update on the use of epinephrine in cardiac arrest concluded that resuscitation teams should continue to administer epinephrine for the treatment of cardiac arrest in adult patients at 3-5 minute intervals for the duration of the resuscitation attempt. The use of epinephrine in cardiac arrest. When IV attempts are unsuccessful or access is not feasible, there is a weaker recommendation for the teams to consider establishing an IO. Based on moderate quality evidence not involving a randomized trial, the AHA believes it is reasonable for resuscitation teams to first attempt IV access. Unfortunately, a rigorous review of the evidence questions the efficacy of the IO route when compared to the IV route. Recently however, many EMS agencies began moving away from initial IV attempts during resuscitation in favor of intraosseous access. Historically, venous cannulation was the primary access strategy. Another interesting recommendation involves the manner in which resuscitation teams gain access to the vascular space for medication administration. Because of this level and quality of evidence, the strongest recommendation the AHA can make in 2020 is that resuscitation team mays consider the strategy. Current published evidence on the usefulness of this strategy for shock-refractory episodes of ventricular fibrillation or pulseless ventricular tachycardia remains limited and weak. Although many EMS agencies around the country include double sequential defibrillation in their treatment protocols, previous AHA guidelines were silent on the subject. ![]() In contrast, there is a moderate-strength for compression rates of 100-120 compressions per minute, based on moderate quality evidence.ĭouble sequential defibrillation. The AHA continues to make a strong recommendation for chest compressions of at least two inches but not more than 2.4 inches in the adult patient, based on moderate quality evidence. While not altering current recommendations for compression depth and rate in adult patients, the AHA CPR Guidelines 2020 reaffirm the importance of chest compression quality in achieving improved survival measures. Over the past decade or so, researchers have directed considerable resources into using research to guide resuscitation education practices as well as driving system of care changes to help optimize survival. Mac Studio gets the Apple silicon treatment (And more powerful, of course.) This should be the lightest 15-inch laptop Apple has ever made. Previously you could only get a 15-inch model of the MacBook Pro, which is thicker and heavier. The MacBook Air was refreshed last year with an all-new design-a lovely one, in four different finishes-so if the only thing that was holding you back from picking up a MacBook Air was the size of the screen, the new 15.3-inch screen should be what you were looking for. ![]() Apple is announcing a new 15-inch MacBook Air, powered by the M2 processor. The MacBook Air gets a 15-inch modelĪpple’s getting its new Mac hardware announcements out of the way up top, which can only mean lots of new announcements to come.īut let’s not give the Mac line short shrift. Whether it becomes the future of computing or just an extremely sick toy for rich people, it does look like Apple has moved the augmented reality game farther than any other company so far. It is undeniably dorky, potentially revolutionary, and at the very least a testament to what Apple does best: being the best customer of leading-edge hardware suppliers across the planet, then tying it all up in a beautiful and humane user experience. Vision Pro will be available in 2024 for $3,500. It’s going to scan your eyes each time to make sure you are you, much like FaceID on an iPhone scans your face with an infrared camera. Iris scanning is how the Vision Pro will do security. ![]() There’s a new operating system spin-off, too, of course: VisionOS, with specific libraries and pipelines to develop new features for Vision Pro. It’s not showing the real you-it’s actually presenting a real-time 3D model of your own face, which is built when you first use Vision Pro by holding the goggles at arm’s length and letting it scan your face. The external OLED display sits behind a lens that emulates the look of pass-through for external viewers. It’s impressive engineering just on the level of existing in the first place that’s a lot of hardware to put into something the size of ski goggles. Spatial audio speakers are built into the band, alongside LiDar, infrared, and cameras inside and out. This is a big deal-pixel density is what has held back virtual reality systems from replicating the experience of a monitor with small text and buttons. The OLED displays inside the Vision Pro are “above 4K” per eye on displays that are physically the size of a postage stamp. With the wearable battery pack, you can use the Vision Pro remotely for up to 2 hours. A digital crown summons the home view and “immersion levels.” A single milled frame is the chassis onto which everything else connects, including active air movement for comfort and heat dissipation. The front of the Vision Pro is a single piece of glass, polished for both eyesight and camera passthrough. On to the nerdier part of something already deeply nerdy: hardware specifications. ![]() You can even pull up a virtual second screen for your real Mac, which Apple is calling a “full 4K.” ![]() A pop-up virtual keyboard is available when voice dictation doesn’t cut it, as well as normal Bluetooth accessories like Magic Keyboards. Other apps can be arranged around 3D space. It’s extremely surreal, but a very Apple-like affordance for human interactions.Īpple's first demo is Safari. Perhaps most wild? An external display shows a real-time video of your eyes overlaid on an external display so you can maintain eye-contact with real people, or put a Siri-like animation when you’re fully locked into something digital. The headset also tracks your eyes to see what you’re looking at, and of course responds to voice with Siri. You'll use Vision Pro with the motion of your hands alone, which the headset tracks with external cameras. It’s easiest to think about Apple's approach here as a giant monitor you can wear as opposed to Facebook or other virtual reality companies’ “full cyberspace” approach. ![]() “The worst thing in the world is to try to sleep and not to.” - F.
